The Santarian Starflight hovered in space as Captain Salinia Mah'ren Kenobi kept trying the frequency that somewhere her gut instinct was trying to lead her to find a way to contact anyone within the Republic or the Jedi Council. We're more of a Rebellion then anything now... the woman thought, rubbing her temple from the growing headache that was reaching through her mind.
No... not a headache... more like, she could hear, feel of the thousands..millions.. of people dying throughout the galaxy.
Jander Dicost, her co-captain and partner looked over at Salinia with worry. Granted, he himself was only minorly in tune with the "Force" as the Jedi called it-- but though Salinia was not a Knight-- she was more attuned then he was. She's such a stubborn dame he thought to himself, but found a weak smirk forming on his lips. It was just part of Salinia's charm. "Sal.. are you sure that youre okay?" he asked quietly.
"I'm fine Jander... and you're right. I am a stubborn dame." she said completely out of the blue, before looking over at him with a small smile, "But that's why you stick with me..." She then took another chance with the Com-link, opening up the random frequency channel.
"Attention-- if anyone from the Republic or the Jedi Order can hear this transmission... this is Captain Salinia Mah'ren Kenobi of the Santarian Starflight... Please Respond!"
Nothing -- all she could get was static.
But then she remembered something that her older brother had mentioned to her when they were last together. Feel.. don't think. Open your mind to the Force, it's purpose is to help, not harm you. It'll strengthen youre skills when you need it most.
"Jander..." Sali said quietly as she turned her head a little to her partner, "Mind taking the helm for a bit? And Keep trying this frequency until you get through."
Jander nodded slightly, before he smiled a bit, "I know that look in your eyes, are you taking your brothers advice for once?" he asked her.
Salinia smiled a bit and nodded, "I gotta trust in it-- I know he's out there somewhere in the quadrant...." she felt her voice start to drift, "Somewhere..." she shook her head a little, "Anyway, if you get anything, let me know."
"You got it dollface."
Salinia nodded, and got up, heading for her small cramped cot in the ship. She shifted herself to a laying position and closed her eyes. She wasnt completely used to trying to open herself up to the Force this way, but she was willing to try.
When she closed her eyes, she reached out... feeling the Force moving around and through her-- even within the close quarters of her bunk. The sheer power of it was almost awe-inspiring for her. But she wouldnt let the wonderment take hold of her. She had other issues on her mind.
Reaching out, she pulled herself together and stretched out, with only one thought echoing through her mind, out into the far reaches that she could
oO{Obi-wan... where are you? Tell me where you are...}
* * *
Hours later, Jander repressed a yawn, stretching his arm over his head. He cast a small glance back towards the back of the Starflight-- and noticed Salinia was out. She looked as if she was sleeping... but he knew better. This was getting to be a regular thing for her at least three times a week. He chuckled, Man, she's something else alright...
The blips coming from the left viewport caused him to look up from watching Sali. He noticed on the monitor coming out of hyperspace were... two, three? No... make that four TIE class Fighters orbiting the Star Destroyer. He had heard of those. Those buggers were rather nasty to go up against-- having heard that they loved to cause damage. He was a bit relieved, wondering if they were here to help... but something in his gut feeling told him that theese particular groups werent.
Using his "push on her" he yelled out down the hatch, "Oi dollface-- we got company, we need your family piloting skills and we need them now!"
* * *
Salinia's eyes flew open when she heard him yell out towards her. She felt them approaching when she was meditiating on the force. She didnt like the feeling she had gotten from the destroyer... could it be that...
She bolted towards the cockpit, easily gliding back into the pilot's chair, strapping herself in as she moved her hands to grasp the controls. "Hang on!" She shouted, as she forced the Starflight to take a hard turn to the left.
The chase was on.

A woman just about thirty or so, wearing your typical tunic tank top and strap pants, her belt slung low on her hip, clipped to it were many forms of weapons: typical standard issue blaster, vibroblade, and two long cylinders, one that was slightly curved to look like use for a whip, the other was long and straight-- one she fashioned herself. She noticed that there were more imperial guards around then she was accustomed to, and she leaned back against the wall. Moving the communicator to her lips on her wrist, she spoke in a dangerously quiet voice, "Please tell me she's all right."
The tiny voice on her wrist spoke, "It looks like it -- how far away are ya Sali?" the voice responded, its tone proving curiousity and anxiousness.
Salinia Mah'ren Kenobi smirked slightly, as she whispered, "Probably right below you Jander. How many guards are you seeing?" She surveyed the room, as well as closing her eyes, reaching out to get a feel of how many more. "...I have four in the open, and three behind the left port exit door."
Jander Dicost's voice came up over the comlink again, "Four up here where I can see in plain sight... eleven to two: sounds like our kinda odds huh Sal?"
Salinia shook her head, trying to hide a smirk, "Sounds like it. But you know the drill. If we time this right, we can make it to the Starflight without too many casualities."
"Understood, see you on the Ship dollface." and with that, the comlink went dead.
She shook her head, trying to get the smirk to fall off her lips. Jander Dicost was such a rogue. The Few years that they were in hiding he got too reckless for his own good. she thought to herself -- remembering when she came in contact with her brother, Obi-wan Kenobi. It was then that when he seemed to disappear from everyones radar, had she worried. When her and Jander had gone searching for his whereabouts, They had come across the slightly older woman: Vima DaBoda. This woman had offered to train Salinia in the minimal skills of the jedi way. She was not a jedi by the council's standards -- but who was to say what was a "knight" or not. She knew she wouldnt call herself that -- but at least she gained some skills.
She braced herself as she moved, cloaking her presence from the guards that were stationed about three hundred yards from the Starflight. Easily keeping to the walls, she got past them, her fingers moving to silently open the lower hatch with a whoosh, and she force jumped into the ship. She looked through her front dash to see Jander coming up along the other side. With a motion of his gun, he aimed -- and fired.
When the Guards reacted to the spot where Jander had been, Sali sighed. "Well, its now or never." She thought aloud to herself as she moved the turret towards the battle, and taking aim, she fired -- taking out at least three of the guards.
Before she realized, she heard Jander shouting from the back entrance hatch, "Raise it Sali, let's get out of here!"
That was music to her ears. "All right, lets get out of here." She agreed as Jander sat in the co-pilot's chair, and fireing forward thrusters, they pulled off planet, jumping into hyperspace.
* * *
Jander grinned as he leaned back in his seat, closing his eyes, "Thank GOD We made it out of there." he said with a groan of relief. "I swear, we are NOT goign to try doing anything in the outer rim for a while-- we had absolutely no turnups of any news from Kenobi or anyone else." He stopped, looking over at his Captain and partner who seemed to have a far away look in her eye. "Sali...? Sali, are you okay?" he asked, waving a hand in front of her eyes.
Salinia jumped slightly, "Huh...?" She said in a daze. Her mind was far from where it should be -- the Force was trying to guide her mind. She felt something, a familliar presence she hadnt felt in a few years....
Moving towards the front, she clicked open a com-link, and plugging in the numbers for an emergency frequency that Jander never heard of, she sent out a holo transmission that was sent on repeat.
"To Anyone who can hear this transmission, this is Santarian Starflight inquiring, please respond. I repeat, this is Captain Salinia Mah'ren of the Santarian Starflight inquiring... please Respond."
oO{I can feel you somewhere.... Obi-wan. Where are you?}

I felt tired.... sore and Hurting as I looked up into the dark night air. I had made it... I truly had made it.... The Capital... and what appeared to be.....the Council. The Jedi Council. The tears could not stop falling. I truly made it....perhaps I'll know more of who I am.....
I looked at a small locket type necklace in my hands, tears falling down my face. I remembered hearing stories that my mother had a child... a boy; who the Jedi took at such a young age... saying he was strong in the "Force". Apparently I was too... but my mother was not going to give me up so easily... she hid me from the Jedi, smuggling me out. I could not fault her doing so..... but I wished i could have met my brother.... My Older brother.... just once.
A Voice to the side of me said quietly, "Are you ready to go see if you can see him....?" I looked to my side, with a small smile. It was my travelling companion... my "partner" as it will; Keadrin ( keadrin) on the com. He had somehow become a guardian for me when he saved me back on Dorvalla, when some rather nasty characters were trying to come and find their way after me. "You know you have a habit on getting yourself into trouble girl...."
I laughed as i shook my head in amusement, trying not to cry, " I never mean to be and you know it Key...." I told him with a retort, winking in return. I always called him Key, just to annoy him at times. And I think he only puts up with it because of me.
He seemed to smirk over the com, " Are you ready...? I know I heard Siv tell me that he might be on the Capital.... If not i'll wait for you at the ship"
I nodded at him quietly, my heart swelling, the tears were beginning to fall down my face again. I didnt know if he'd accept me... reject me... or what he would do.... all I could hope for....was the best. "Yeah Key...I'm as ready as I ever will be.... if it fails i'll meet you back at the ship." I fixed my blaster against my side, and hiding it under my tunic, I walked in with Keadrin; walked in to face my destiny.... and hopefully, to be united with those who are my family.
And the Reunion worked for the best...
